SPEAKER: Shayla Rivera!
Shayla is an Aerospace Engineer and former Rocket Scientist with NASA turned salesperson, corporate trainer and now Int’l Keynote Speaker, TV and Radio Host, turned COMEDIAN, and the list goes on and on. As of 2017, Shayla is Director of the ENGR[x] program and Professor of Practice for the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. (She’s also an Aggie herself ) It was while conducting seminars that Shayla was encouraged to give stand up comedy a shot, and low and behold the brand Funny Rocket Scientist was born.

Regardless, we are so excited Shayla will be our first speaker and we’ll welcome her anyway we can get her! And honestly, this weird year deserves a bit of humor!
